What Has Changed Since May 2025 (4G Tier):

  • Maxx keeps $7.90 plan online-only. Fast activation, port-in and eSIM now easier in app; up to 6 lines per user. Grab voucher reward ongoing.
  • Eight Double Eight stays at $8, now easier to buy as eSIM or annual plan. Senior/data-only SIM available. System is faster with upgraded account dashboard.

Which Is More Worth It?

  • Maxx: If you want lowest cost, easy data, no need IDD, Maxx $7.90 still the “save more” choice.
  • Eight: If you need lots of outgoing calls or regular overseas IDD, Eight Double Eight gives more value for only $1-$2 extra a month. (But with just 10cents difference. I will go for Eight lah)

Main Highlights

  • Maxx $10 5G: Entry-level 5G price, solid local/roaming data, strong for SG/MY commuters. Moderate call/SMS/IDD bundle, easiest multi-line/family signup, app-first experience.
  • Maxx $12 5G: Bigger everything the data, roaming, IDD includes Indonesia in base coverage with expanded international usage. Power user friendly, still below $13 monthly, no contract.
  • Eight Lucky Eight $14.80 5G: Heaviest base data, huge talktime/SMS, wider APAC/international.

Ideal for roaming SEA, SEA-based frequent caller, or those who want everything bundled. Yearly option gives best rate.

Which Plan Is More Worth It?

  • On a budget and do not need extra countries or big call/SMS bundles, Maxx $10 wins! Very hard to beat for entry-level 5G value.
  • Frequent Malaysia/Indonesia daters, want the most for regular price?
Go Maxx $12. Expanded data, roaming, and up to 600 IDD mins to top Asia countries. Great for business users, media uploaders, or constant connection.
  • If you travel SEA often, want super high base data AND more calls/SMS/roaming in Thailand too, Eight Lucky Eight $14.80 is strong value. Yearly payment is even more attractive for heavy users (pay less than $12.50/month).

What Has Changed Since May 2025

  • Maxx: $10 and $12 plans are now true 5G, with real world speeds 400Mbps–1Gbps. Both plans increased data, roaming, and IDD bundles, with more Asian/APAC countries covered. Activation and eSIM setup easier via app. Still no contract.
  • Eight: Launched Lucky Eight (5G) with wider SEA/roaming coverage, bigger bundles, and annual discount option. Speed is 380–400Mbps, coverage strong in SG/MY/ID/TH. Activation/management streamlined.

If you want more detail or have specific usage habits, let me know and I can suggest even more tailored picks!

For now is a no brainer, $8 Eight for 4G, or $10 Maxx for 5G.

And we thought the previous deal was already very good. Now even better.
