Best Sim Card Plan Under $10

By Money Saving Daddy

There are a few things to consider when looking for the best SIM card under $10.

This likely is your spare sim card, or some sim card you want to sign up for your kids or parents.

So what are the things to consider?

  • The first is data. How much data do you need?
  • The second is minutes. How many minutes do you need?
  • And the third is SMS. How many SMS do you need?

Once you've considered those things, the next step is to find a good deal.

The best way to do that is to compare SIM only deals from different providers.

Make sure to read the small print so that you understand the terms and conditions of each deal.

The trend now is give you extra data or calls or discount for first 3-6 months then revert back to the usual rate.

Very complicated to follow one sia.

Once you've found the best deal, the next step is to purchase your SIM card. You can do this online or in person at a store.

Just make sure that you have all the necessary information before you make a purchase.

What are the types of sim card?

The types of SIM cards are mainly the mini-SIM, micro-SIM, and nano-SIM, E Sim Card.

Nowadays, they are using Nano Sim already.

What is E Sim Card?

An eSIM card is a digital SIM card that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical SIM card.

List of Sim Card Provider in Singapore

The list of SIM card providers in Singapore includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Singtel
  • Starhub
  • M1
  • TPG Mobile
  •  Circles.Life
  •  Giga
  •  Gomo
  •  MyRepublic

How much data do I need?

You need to have at least 5-8GB of data stored on your phone so that you can browse the internet normally, Your Tik Tok, Your Youtube shorts.

If you chiong netflix one, then hor you need need at least 20gb kind.

How many minutes do I need?

It depends on what you want to use your phone for. If you want to make calls, then you will need more minutes. However, nowadays most of us use whatsapp call.

So what you need more is the data than minutes. Unless you are always calling landline.

How many SMS do I need?

This is a difficult question to answer.

Who can you sms now ah?

As long at least 10 sms should get your by the whole month liao.

Then again, you can use apps for their messaging already. SMS now is not a trendy thing liao.

Singtel, M1, Starhub

I went to bio, Singtel M1 Starhub don't have sim only plans at $10. Minimum also $20 for M1 and starhub and $30 for Singtel.

So we today we only compare

  • Circles.Life
  • TPG Mobile
  • Giga
  • MyRepublic

CircleLife

Very straight forward. Only data 50GB. So you can only surf net. I'm not sure if you can use the phone number and still receive sms anot.

So if you still need some calls and SMS, then this is not the plan for you liao.

TPG

TPG has 2 plans, one for senior and another for their normal plan.

Currently having a promotion for additional 50GB till further notice.

$10 for 100 GB seems like a very good deal. Unlimited calls to Mobile and 300 mins to Landline.

However, it is a known thing that TPG has some misses on the reception.

So if this is your very spare line, you can try out TPG for their unlimited calls + 100GB data.

Provided you have good reception.

Giga

Very straight forward plan at $10 / month also.

6GB + 500SMS + 500MINS call.

If you are looking at a 2nd line, spare one. This is something you can consider.

There is even roll over data up to 12GB. So at least not so wasted if you cannot finish the data.

MyRepublic

$8 a Month plan with 10GB Data for first 6 mths than 8 GB afterwhich.

Nowadays alot provider like to play this kinda of promo.

Give you discount for first 6 months then revert to normal.

Sometimes very confusing if want to compare.

but $8 plan for 8GB and  300mins.

Also recommended if you are using it as a 2nd line.

What I am Using Now

So, that's all for now on the best SIM card for under $10.

I'm currently using the Giga $10/month plan with 6GB data, which is more than sufficient for my needs as a spare line.

I highly recommend this plan if you are looking for an affordable and reliable option.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Cheers!
