Baby Sushi First Day at Home

Many people are always very kan chiong on every of their first milestone. Especially bringing a Baby back home. 

What do parents exactly do with their baby on the first day at home?

12pm - Discharged from Hospital

Of course, first you need to be discharged from hospital. Then the doctor / nurse will prepare you. 

Questions to ask the Nurse/Doctor

Especially cleaning of the umbilical cord. There are many versions, but mainly is use the alcohol wipes and clean it. Some parents don't bathe with the baby submerged in water. This one up to you lah.

1pm - Go the Chapel

Mount Alvernia have this blessing prayers for the newborn which is why we select Mount Alvernia. After staying hospital for few days, then having this blessing like very touching to see the Newborn kena blessed like that.

Even have a "post card" as a memorial gift. Best of all, free one! Or rather included in your package.

I wonder if public can suka suka go in and kena blessed anot.

1.30pm - Load Up in the Car

So previously for Loti, we were stuck in the situation where by friends tell us.

Swaddle the Baby. Use the Car Seat.

So how do you swaddle the baby and put them in the car seat?

So this time we more smart liao. We didn't put Baby Sushi legs in the swaddle so that we can be more secured with the car seat.

And somemore Jie Jie Loti is seating beside her.

If you can calling a Cab/Grab.

FYI. You can only take taxi. Grabcar cannot take newborns. Only Taxi can. Because of insurance coverage.

2pm - DIY Confinement Starts

So hor, usually when Mummy go hospital, you already activate your confinement Nanny and update her the estimated date of discharge. So they can prepare.

This time round, we did our own confinement. So what we need to do is trigger our confinement meal caterer.

We engaged Chilli Padi as our Confinement Meal caterer. Reviews to come!

So once we are home, the confinement meal is at our shoe rack liao.

We advise you to put a table/shoerack outside so sometimes got soupy stuffs. Then don't want the soup to leak and spoil your meal la. Help the caterer and help yourself lah.

The Reset

Usually when you come home, the first question will be. How ah? What time the Baby drink ah? What time they need to drink next?

Then if not in the time breast feed how ah? Or if Baby use bottle feed how ah?

I call this the reset.
