How We Finally Completed LEGOLAND Malaysia after 4 Visits

Honestly, before Covid, I was very hesitant to visit Legoland. Long Queues, very hot etc etc.

But actually, it was pretty fun!

Over the past year, we visited LEGOLAND Malaysia four times.

Singaporeans get the Annual Pass for the price of the one day pass ticket.

So, we explored slowly, enjoyed every corner of the park, and finally completed it.

This guide is perfect for parents who are wondering whether LEGOLAND has enough activities for their young children.

First Visit: Slow Start, But Fun!

For our first visit, Mei Mei had just passed 80 cm in height.

This meant she could only join us on a few rides.

We started our day in the front part of the park.

The girls were so excited that we spent more than two hours just in the beginning area.

It was not even lunchtime yet.

We were taking things slow and steady.

I took Loti to try the Great LEGO Race roller coaster.

It was fun and fast.

Mei Mei, unfortunately, could not join us because of her height.

She had to wait outside with her snacks while we rode.

She was quite patient.

After that, we tried to go on the Boating School.

Just as we were about to board, a kid climbed out of their boat.

This caused the staff to shut down the ride for safety reasons.

We had no choice but to skip it for the day.

Next, we went to Rescue Academy.

It was a fun family experience.

We raced each other to power a LEGO fire engine and "put out a fire."

It was a bit tiring, but the girls loved it.

After that, we tried the LEGO City Airport, where the kids could "fly" their own planes.

The ride was fun, but there were a lot of mosquitoes around.

So, we did not stay long.

Loti was thrilled to try the Driving School, where she got to drive her own little LEGO car.

She earned her driver’s license, which made her very proud.

We wrapped up the day with a visit to The Shipyard playground.

The girls loved it, of course.

What kid does not enjoy a good playground?

Second Visit: More Rides and Exciting Moments

During our second visit, we focused on revisiting the rides the girls enjoyed the most.

Mei Mei was more confident this time and joined her sister on the Driving School and Boating School.

Thankfully, there were no interruptions this time at the boating ride.

The girls were so excited to steer their own little boats.

We also did the Rescue Academy again.

Mei Mei could not stop laughing while we pumped the fire engine.

Loti was eager to hop back on the planes at LEGO City Airport, although we did encounter mosquitoes again.

We also managed to catch a performance at the LEGO City Stage.

It was a fun show, and it gave us adults a little break. It has aircon! And super shiok.

The girls also ran back to The Shipyard playground, which had become one of their favourite spots.

One new ride we tried this time was Beetle Bounce.

Mei Mei was finally tall enough for it, and she was excited to be launched 15 feet into the air.

She was a little scared at first, but after the ride, she wanted to go again.

We also did the Lost Kingdom Adventure, where we all got to ride together, shooting lasers to find treasure.

It was a big hit with both girls.

Mei Mei played at Pharaoh’s Revenge, an indoor playground with foam balls.

She had a great time.

3rd and 4th Visits: Our LEGOLAND 3D2N Adventure

By our third and fourth visits, we decided to make it a full LEGOLAND experience by staying for 3 days and 2 nights.

We very stinge on the accommodation because I find Legoland Hotel too expensive.

We compensated the kids with an indoor playground theme homestay which is 10 mins drive away.

It allowed us to fully enjoy the park without feeling rushed.

It was a nice break from our usual day trips.

Third Visit: More Thrills and Discoveries

By this visit, Loti had grown tall enough for more exciting rides.

We started with the Aquazone Wave Racers, which was perfect for her.

Loti went on it while Mei Mei cheered her on from the sidelines.

Loti got splashed, but she loved every second.

After that, we all took a relaxing ride on the LEGOLAND Express train.

It was a peaceful way to enjoy the park’s sights.

Loti was also able to try the Royal Joust, where she got to ride her very own LEGO horse through a medieval forest.

Mei Mei could not join but spent time playing at the Forestmen’s Hideout playground.

She loved the climbing and sliding.

Next, Loti went on the Dragon’s Apprentice, a smaller roller coaster designed for younger children. But Mei Mei still too short for that.

We also went on the Kids Power Tower, where the girls pulled themselves up to the top before dropping back down.

They thought it was hilarious.

We ended the day with a visit to the LEGOLAND Studios 4D Movie and a ride on the Observation Tower.

Both gave us a chance to relax while the girls enjoyed the fun visuals.

Fourth Visit: Wrapping Up Our LEGOLAND Experience

On our final visit, we knew exactly where to go and what rides to try.

The girls wanted to start with LEGO NINJAGO The Ride, which they loved.

We even went on it twice.

The ride lets you control elements like fire and ice by just waving your hands.

Both Loti and Mei Mei were fascinated by it.

Afterward, we tackled Dino Island, one of the wettest rides in the park.

Unfortunately, Loti was still not tall enough (it requires 110 cm), so my wife went ahead while I took Mei Mei to the Lost Kingdom adventure.

Mei Mei was initially upset, but she soon forgot all about it. Loti was brave enough this time and she went for The Dragon which is more exciting than the Dragon’s Apprentice.

We also watched another 4D movie at LEGOLAND Studios and went back to the Lost Kingdom Adventure, which had become one of the girls’ favourites.

We even found time for the DUPLO Express, a mini train ride that was gentle and perfect for winding down.

Is LEGOLAND Malaysia Good for Young Kids?

After four visits, I can confidently say that LEGOLAND Malaysia is excellent for young kids.

Here's an Ultimate Guide for You.

Even if your child is under 90 cm, there are many rides and attractions that they can enjoy.

From playgrounds like The Shipyard to gentler rides like LEGOLAND Express and DUPLO Playtown, there is something for everyone.

For parents who prefer a slower pace, LEGOLAND is a great option.

The park is large, so you do not need to rush.

Our kids could explore, play, and enjoy at their own rhythm, and we never felt pressured to do everything in one day.

Staying at the LEGOLAND Hotel was also a fantastic experience if you have the budget.

But nearby cheaper accommodation options are a plenty too.

If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly destination, and if you like taking things easy, LEGOLAND Malaysia is perfect.

We had a great time on every visit, and I am sure you will too.
