Is this calculator accurate for 2026?
The numbers reflect common Singapore conventions as of 2026. They are a starting point, not a rule. Give more if you are close to the family, less if you are on a tight budget. Most people overthink this. A sincere ang bao given with good intentions is always well received.
Should married people give more for CNY?
Traditionally, yes. Married couples are expected to give more, often in pairs (two ang baos combined). Singles can give less. Our calculator uses the standard ranges, so if you are married and want to give more, use the Comfortable tier or the Generous amount.
What if I am attending multiple events in the same week?
